Welcome to Regina Writes!

I’m a 31 year old Gemini who is true to form, in that I always have a million things going on at once: I have a full-time job dealing with medical insurance denials, a part-time job serving coffee, another part-time (dream) job as a pet sitter, and yet another super-part-time job as an essential oil advocate AND I’m going to school to finish my undergraduate degree! I’m passionate about animals – all animals, as you can see from my picture! – and I’m slowly figuring out how to become the most successful, happiest version of myself that I can be.

My life has had a LOT of ups and downs and they’ve all led me to this exact moment at this exact place and I couldn’t possibly be more grateful; which is why I’m going to focus on gratitude in this blog. Recently, I’ve realized that I’m experiencing true, pure gratitude deep in my heart and soul and it is…well…overwhelming! I’ve cried a lot of tears of gratitude recently, which has been quite confusing because the depth at which I feel this emotion is usually reserved only for sadness.

So, welcome to my slightly scattered, extremely vulnerable, hopefully encouraging, but, above all, gratitude-filled blog! Let me know what you think in the comments section!

I have long-term goals, but I struggle with making short-term goals. I love all animals, but favor cats as pets. I don’t actually love monkeys (or the like) but I respect them […]

What. A. Week. Wow guys, did everyone make it through this week in one piece?! I feel like the new moon and Uranus energies really pulled at me and ruffled my feathers! Speaking of feathers, I took RuPaul to his first doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and I’m so glad I finally did! He is pretty under weight and has a skin infection of some sort. […]

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Welcome to another Sunday check-in! I want to start off by saying happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there and thank you for all of the hard work and unconditional love you provide. I used to be very close with my mom, then around the time my grandpa (her dad) died, we started to drift apart. Over the years, I began to feel […]

It’s close, can you feel it?

I was so excited to have finished my homework a day earlier than usual and to have gotten all my chores done that I spent the day with my dad, relaxing and driving around! Okay, let’s recap last week’s goals real quick: research dog fostering research “eating for your cycle” (warming/cooling foods) have lost at […]
